Plextor launches latest 18x external
PC/Mac DVD ReWriter

Following the success of the recently launched internal PX-800A & PX-810SA DVD ReWriters, Plextor announces its new high end external drive - the PX-810UF. This fast 18x drive is ideal for all users as it is compatible with both Mac and PC systems. From professionals and enthusiasts, through to anyone looking for a stylish addition or upgrade to their home/office set-up, the PX-810UF offers the ideal solution. It features Plextor’s legendary quality and reliability in a robust matt black external unit. Fully compatible with Microsoft Vista and the latest Mac OS, it is perfect for the Mac community - including designers, agencies, marketing teams and any small office or home/SOHO users.
The PX-810UF comes conveniently with a dual interface for extra flexibility – with both USB 2.0 and FireWire (IEEE1394) connectors on the rear panel (as denoted by ‘UF’ abbreviation). In addition, the drive comes with a software package suitable for all users - Nero 7 Essentials (including Nero Express 7), and Plextools Professional LE which offers more features and options for advanced users.

Plextor launches new 18x multi-format DVD-ReWriter
Plextor, the personal storage and high reliability optical drive manufacturer, today announces the first DVD-RW drive from its new PX-800 series: the ATAPI/IDE PX-800A. At 18x it is still one of the fastest drives in the world (Plextor was the first to launch 18x products with the PX-760 series).
It also incorporates multi-format (DVD+/-R & DVD-RAM) technology to satisfy the demand for high end drives from enthusiast/professional users. In fact, it is Plextor's first drive capable of 12x DVD-RAM.
Even though this high reliability drive comes from Plextor, the market leaders in quality, it will be priced cost-effectively. The drive is in line with Plextor's high quality product requirements, and supports burning quality technologies like Buffer Underrun proof technology, which prevents buffer underrun errors.
In addition, the drive comes with a software package which suits all user requirements. It includes Nero 7 Essentials OEM suite (including Nero Express 7), and Plextools Professional LE which offers more features and options for advanced users.
The PX-800A is fully tested and certified for use with Microsoft's Windows Vista to ensure a superior end-user experience.
